Public Parks

Four parks are located in Downtown Rowlett: Herfurth Park, Scentral Bark Dog Park (part of/adjacent to Herfurth Park), the Downtown Green and Veterans Park.  Herfurth and Scentral Bark Dog Park are located between Main St./Rowlett Chamber of Commerce and Stephens Elementary School.  Veterans Park is located behind Bankhead Brewery on the corner of Ponder and Dennis Streets.  A free public parking lot is adjacent to Veterans Park at Dennis and Commerce Streets.  

Herfurth Park is undergoing a $1.8 million renovation and will be completed in phases based on Community Investment Program Bond funding.  Phase One Construction will consist of trails, event space, and a spray plaza.
