Take your friends and family to Downtown Rowlett during Small Business Weekend! It's the perfect place to Eat, Drink, and Shop Local!

Small businesses are vital to our community and create more new jobs and generate more local economic activity per square foot than big businesses. You can play a key role in helping the small businesses in our community thrive by shopping and dining at our local businesses.

If you can't make it out to shop small during Small Business Weekend, consider ordering online from a local business or ordering food for take-out or delivery.

Here are other ways to support our local businesses besides making a purchase:

• Leave 5 Star reviews on Google, Facebook, and Yelp
  
• Send a nice message to the business through social, email or a handwritten letter
  
• Show businesses some love on social media. Recently made a purchase at a boutique or had a great meal at a restaurant? Take a picture, post it as a story or post on social and tag the business!
  
• Follow your local businesses on social and then like, comment on and share the content they post.
