Let's take a walk down Main Street in Downtown Rowlett and make a stop at our local library! Did you know the Rowlett Public Library hosts a variety of events for all ages? From children's storytime to adult book clubs, there's something for everyone!

ALL AGES
Winter Reading - November 20 to December 30: People of all ages can participate in our Winter Reading Program! Readers will mark off every time they read for 30 minutes for a chance to win prizes, grand prize entry tickets, and more. Claim your Reading logs starting Nov 20 at the red reference desk.
YOUTH PROGRAMS
Storytime (Toddlers & Preschoolers) Wednesdays & Thursdays at 10 am and 11 am - Due to limited space, tickets are required for entry and can be collected at the reference desk the day of the program. No Storytime Nov 22 and 23 due to Thanksgiving.
Elementals (ages 5 to 8) Wednesdays at 4 pm: Kids can enjoy STEAM-related activities that bring forth innovation and creativity. This month's theme is food experiments. No Elementals on Nov 22 due to Thanksgiving.
STEAM Squad (ages 9 to 16) Thursdays at 6 pm: Kids can learn about FIRST® LEGO® League and participate in activities related to the competition. No Steam Squad on Nov 23 due to Thanksgiving.
ADULT PROGRAMS
Tinker Tuesday November 7, 6 pm: Learn something new, share with others, and meet other makers. Materials are provided free of charge. Ages 14 and up welcome. This month we will make projects using the Cricut®.
Depression Demystified November 10, 2 pm: Learn about the signs and symptoms of depression and clear up any myths about the mood disorder with Nick Lawless, LPC.
Second Saturday Book Club November 11, 2 pm: This month's read is The Wager by David Grann.
Maker Lab November 18, 10 am to 5 pm: Drop in every 3rd Saturday of the month to get a brief equipment overview, find out how we can help with your project, check out what other people are making, and use a Cricut®, sublimation printing, 3D printer, sewing machine, wood burning tools, hot glue guns, basic power tools, button maker, etc. Materials are provided free of charge. Ages 14 and up welcome.
Friends of the Rowlett Public Library Meeting November 21, 6:30 pm: Want to get more involved in your library? Come to a Friends of the Library meeting. Membership is not required in order to attend.
