The Downtown Rowlett Station is located just north of Downtown Rowlett's Main Street. From here, passengers can access the entire DART system, including DFW International Airport. Downtown Rowlett Station is served by the Northeast segment of the DART Rail Blue Line.

Rowlett was one of the original Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) member cities and opened its first station in 2012 on the Blue Line (Downtown Rowlett station), providing an optimal location for urban transit-oriented developments.⠀ ⠀

Colorful art walls can be found in the plaza between the rail station and bus bays. The art walls portray images of Rowlett's landscape, identity and history and feature quotes from authors Alex Haley and Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr. and station artist, Viola Delgado.⠀ ⠀

To better serve Rowlett citizens, DART has instituted a permit parking program and the Downtown Rowlett Station offering preferred parking to our residents. These FREE permits may be obtained at City Hall (4000 Main Street) from 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
