What is the Don't mess with Texas® Trash Off Great American Cleanup?

The Don't Mess with Texas® Trash Off is Texas' flagship event for the Great American Cleanup, the largest nationwide community improvement program. From March through May, volunteers across the country come together to clear roadways, parks, neighborhoods, and other public spaces of litter and debris.

Since 1998 Keep Rowlett Beautiful (KRB) has proudly participated in this national movement helping to make Rowlett a cleaner, greener place to live, work, and play. When we all pitch in, we create a healthier, more beautiful environment for everyone!

How You Can Get Involved

• Gather Your Group: Rally your friends, family, coworkers, teammates, or neighbors and pick a public area that needs attention. You can choose a park, a roadway, your office area, school grounds, or any other space that could use a little extra care. Not sure where to go? No problem! KRB can assign a location for you.
  
• Get Your Supplies: Keep Rowlett Beautiful will provide all registered volunteers with trash bags, grabbers, gloves, and t-shirts while supplies last. Plus each group will receive a goodie bag when picking up their supplies!
  
• Earn Community Service Hours: This is a great opportunity for high school students to earn volunteer hours while making a difference.
  
• Make a Lasting Impact: Litter attracts more litter, but together we can break the cycle! A clean community is a happier healthier place for everyone.
